The HubSpot-Magento Connector creates the ability for automated abandoned cart emails to be sent out via HubSpot. This can be done by utilizing the smart lists, email templates, and workflows provided by HubSpot in tandem with the functionality provided by the connector.


  1. In HubSpot, create a SMART list with the following criteria:




    Form Submission> Contact has filled out> Magento Abandoned Cart (Quote) Form> on any page

  2. Create a new workflow:



    Title it "Abandoned Cart Workflow" (or whatever you'd like to title it) and select Standard Workflow

  3. Select the list
    When active, this workflow will enroll contacts who...
    Select "Join the list"
    Select the SMART list you created in Step 1
    DO NOT SELECT "Enroll the list's existing contacts"
    Click Save

  4. Select the "Delay" option and specify the amount of time they should receive the email after joining the SMART list. (Recommended: 24 hours). Additional actions can be added for escalation, given that:
    -Clear timelines are in place for sending the reminder (6 hours, 12 hours, 24 hours, etc.)
    -The email template is generic OR separate email templates have been made for each reminder

  5. Select "Send them an email" and select your automated abandoned cart email. (Make sure the abandoned cart email has been saved for automation)



Step 6: Activate the workflow.
